While the turnover of liquids contracted by 7.7% on the result from Q1 2018, down to 8.55mt, the handlings of general cargo and dry bulk rose, by 1.9% and 10% year-on-year, respectively, up to 20.41mt and 5.79mt.
The country's ports handled fewer containers, a decrease by 0.5% yoy to a total of 399,711 TEUs. On the other hand, they took care of more ro-ro cargo units, an increase by 0.4% yoy to altogether 805,939 trucks, trailers, and railcars. The vehicle logistics segment lost 11.1% of its volumes, going down to 203,951 units.
Passenger traffic also noted a downtick - of 3.1% yoy to 4,562,297 travellers and of 1.8% yoy as regards pax cars in ferry traffic.
