Port of Turku: 62,154 trucks & trailers handled in I-VII 2017 (+2.2% yoy)

Out of the total number, imports accounted for 15.4 mln tn (+6.7% year-on-year), while exports added the remaining 10.6 mln tn (+7.0% yoy).

In addition, the Finnish Port of Turku made 1,323 twenty-foot containers (-0.5% yoy) over this year's first seven months.

In total, the port handled 1,490.9 thou. tn (+5.4% yoy) in the reported period. Foreign traffic made 1,377.3 thou. tn (+1.4% yoy), of which exports went up by 0.2% yoy to 789.5 thou. tn, and imports by 3.1% yoy to 587.8 thou. tn.

Domestic traffic totalled 113.6 thou. tn (+103% yoy). Here exports rose by 801% yoy to 63.6 thou. tn, whereas imports by 2.2% yoy to 50.1 thou. tn.

Turku's passenger traffic increased as well - by 0.4% yoy to a total of 1,967,206 travellers.
