Port of Trelleborg flirts with solar energy

The solar park in Port of Trelleborg can become a reality in 2020.

The port's authorities decided to build a 2,700 square meter solar park. The goal is to meet at least half its own electricity demand through its own energy production.

Additionally, there are plans to construct a number of smaller wind turbines.

Discussions with various partners are underway and the port authorities are also looking at different grant opportunities. No potential date for the construction of the solar park exists as of today but the plan is to begin works in 2020.
