Port of Sines: 11.06mt handled in Q1 2018 (-18.4% yoy)

Imports decreased over this year's first quarter by 17.6% year-on-year to 6.82mt, while exports by 19.6% yoy to 4.24mt.

All cargo groups noted a downtick in Q1 2018. The turnover of liquids lost 9.6% yoy and totalled 5.10mt. General cargo contracted by 25.4% yoy to 4.78mt. The handlings of dry bulk decreased by 21.4% yoy to 1.18mt.

Sines' container traffic lost almost one-fourth of its volumes, going down by 24.1% yoy to 375,139 TEUs.
