Port of HaminaKotka: 8.32mt handled in H1 2018 (+16.9% yoy)

The double-digit increase was chiefly driven by a 41.7% year-on-year growth of imports, which totalled 2.50mt in the reported period.

At the same time, exports advanced by 8.7% yoy to almost 5.82mt.

In addition, the Finnish seaports made some 432.7kt in coastal traffic (+5.5% yoy; not included in the ports' total turnover).

HaminaKotka's container volumes, on the other hand, noted a downtick of 1.1% yoy. A total of 340,633 TEUs went through the ports' quays.

Ro-ro traffic decreased, too, by 3.7% yoy to 7,312 cargo units.
