The turnover of liquids dropped by 0.4% year-on-year to a total of 23.4mt, while the remaining 17.1mt (-1.2% yoy) were mainly supplied by the handling of general cargo, with a minor addition of dry bulk.
Gothenburg's 2018 container traffic advanced by 17.1% yoy to 753k TEU, out of which 398k (+13.4% yoy) were rail-handled.
At the same time, however, ro-ro traffic contracted by 1.5% yoy down to 584k cargo units. The finished vehicle logistics segment noted a decrease too, by 1.7% yoy to 290k new cars.
Passenger traffic was also lower than in 2017, a downtick by 3.5% yoy to 1,673k ferry and cruise travellers.
