Port of Gothenburg: 188k TEU handled in Q1 2018 (+2.2% yoy)

At the same time, rail container traffic totalled 100k TEU, a decrease by 5.7% year-on-year.

Gothenburg's ro-ro traffic increased in the reported period by 4.1% yoy to 152k cargo units.

The port's finished vehicle logistics noted a double-digit growth of 17.6% yoy, totalling 80k new cars.

Turnover of liquids also rose - by 3.5% yoy to 5.9mt.

Passenger traffic, on the other hand, lost 15.5% yoy. Altogether 223k ferry and cruise passengers went through the quays of the Port of Gothenburg during this year's first quarter.
