Port of Bilbao: 17.78mt handled in H1 2018 (+11.9% yoy)

With almost 11.11mt (+11% year-on-year), the turnover of liquids cut out the biggest share in Bilbao's total freight turnover over this year's first half.

General cargo came in second, amounting to 5.20mt (+11% yoy), followed by 2.47mt of dry bulk (+17.6% yoy).

The port's container and ro-ro traffic rose as well, by 14.2% yoy and 5.5% yoy to 322,455 TEUs and 10,211 cargo units, respectively.

Bilbao's H1 2018 passenger traffic totalled 92,991 travellers (+15% yoy), out of which ferry accounted for 50,503 (+17.1% yoy) and cruise for 42,488 (+12.6% yoy).
