The Port of Aalborg is Europes's only cargo junction to/from Greenland. Also linked to the rest of the world with convenient feeder via Rotterdam and Gothenburg. This results in strong container handlings growth and good potential for further development.

Aalborg Container Terminal located in the Eastern Harbour, near the E-45 motorway and international rail network, handled more than 70.000 containers in 2013. It features 870 m quay and max 9.3 m of water depth, a total of 78,000 sqm handling and storage area, as well as 55,000 cbm of cooling/freezing capacity (475 reefer-plugs). The facility is equipped with a gantry crane (capacity of 30 units per hour) and a ro-ro ramp. All container stevedoring operations are provided by RAL (Royal Arctic Logistics). Additional container services, incl. cleaning, repair of dry boxes and reefer containers, pre-trip inspection of reefer containers as well as interchange and CSC-control are all available on site. The port acts as a strong partner in local logistics, being not only a traffic harbour which keeps track of calling ships but also offering active cooperation in combined transport solutions, and possibilities for custom-free storage.

The Port of Aalborg also owns more than 3 million sqm of well-placed harbour real estate (especially at the East Harbour), possible as investment location for companies which need large areas for production, storage or expansion. All areas are approved for port-related and transport activities.
