OOCL: 6.08 mln TEU carried in 2016 (+9.1% yoy)

With 3,175,611 TEU (+5.9% year-on-year), the Intra-Asia/Australasia trade lane proved to be the strongest in OOCL's network last year.

Shipments across the Trans-Pacific came in second, marking the highest growth rate of 18.2% yoy up to 1,558,495 TEU carried in 2016. A total of 950,649 TEU (+6.4% yoy) were transported between Asia and Europe, while the remaining 395,927 TEU (+8.2% yoy) came from the Trans-Atlantic lane.
