Noatum Terminal Castellon has added the diesel-electric Model 6 of Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbor Crane to its terminal equipment.
The new machine is able to lift 125 tn, offers 50 tn grab curve, and a maximum outreach of 51 m.
"With this Model 6 crane, we aim to extend and optimize our bulk activities. As we also offer all kinds of cargo handling services in our terminal in Castellon, the machine will allow us to load and unload all kinds of commodities including project cargo and containers. Given this variety of tasks, it was logical to opt for the particularly versatile mobile harbor crane technology from Konecranes. Moreover, since Noatum already operates seven Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbor Cranes of different sizes and generations in other port terminals, this new investment proves, beyond any doubt, how we value the reliability of the machines from Konecranes," Joaquin Ramon Lestau, CEO at Noatum Terminal Castellon, said.
Giuseppe Di Lisa, Sales & Marketing Director at Mobile Harbor Cranes, Konecranes, added; "For more than 15 years, Noatum has regularly ordered Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbor Cranes. We are proud that a long-term customer and leader in its market continues to rely on our technology. The fact that the machine will handle a wide range of cargo types, confirms once again one of the key benefits of our mobile harbor cranes, which is their high degree of versatility."
