The end of 2019 saw two Kuenz intermodal cranes enter service at terminals in Prague and Budapest, operated by the Metrans Group. A total of 15 cranes manufactured by the Austrian company are currently in use by the Czech intermodal services provider.

With connections linking the seaports of Rotterdam, Hamburg and Bremerhaven with the hinterland in southern Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Austria, Metrans is one of the major intermodal operators in the region. Kuenz cranes are present in four out of 15 of the company's terminals – six on their largest site in Prague and three in each of the terminals situated in in Česká Třebová and Budapest.

All of them are designed as double-girder bridges with superstructure and cantilever on both sides.  The remaining three in Dunajska Streda, Slovakia are designed as conventional double-girder bridges.

The two new cranes in Prague and Budapest are handling containers, swap bodies and trailers with a lifting capacity of 37 tonnes.
