The parliament of the Isle of Man has approved the plans for constructing a 240 m long deep water berth at the Port of Douglas' Victoria Pier.
The new facility, which will cost approx. €12.6m, will serve cruise traffic as well as offshore wind farm support vessels.
Currently, visiting cruise vessels have to anchor in the Douglas Bay from where passengers are transported to the shore by the ship's tender.
