Gothenburg Port Authority
403 38 Gothenburg
Sweden
Since 2010, the Port of Gothenburg has been divided into a municipal company – Gothenburg Port Authority – and six terminal companies that are run by external operators. The division shows the harbour's areas of specialisation in containers, roro, oil and other energy products. Around 30% of Swedish foreign trade passes through the port and it is the only place in the country, which is able to receive the largest ocean-going vessels.
Located by the Straits of Skagerrak and Kattegat, Gothenburg offers a wide range of routes to over 130 destinations throughout the world, eg. USA, Middle East, India and Asia i.a. thanks to the Maersk Line AE10 service. Approximately 25 rail shuttles depart daily, providing companies throughout Sweden and Norway with a direct link to the port and the opportunity to utilise the broad range of routes.
