First Konecranes' portal harbour crane delivered to Spain

The Finnish company has just handed over the first ever Gottwald Model 8 Portal Harbor Crane to Spain, namely to European Bulk Handling Installation (EBHI) at the Port of Gijón.

The Model 8 crane in a four-rope-grab variant, offering a max. lifting capacity of 100 tonnes with a 63-tonnes grab curve and an operating radius of up to 50 metres. The portal has a track gauge of 22 metres and a clearance height of 6.125 metres. 

The machinery was ordered in October last year, and will be mainly used for unloading iron ore and coal.
