Following Norway's ban on cruise shipping with over 100 passengers on-board, TUI Cruises has decided to send its Mein Schiff 1 and Mein Schiff 2 to the Baltic.
The two called to the Port of Stockholm on Monday, making it the country's first cruise ship visit this year. However, no passengers or crew members were allowed to go ashore.
Mein Schiff 1 and Mein Schiff 2 each berthed for about an hour before sailing eastwards to visit the archipelago near Turku.
Prior to boarding the ships, passengers had to fill in a health declaration and undergo temperature measurements. The ships' capacity was limited to about one-third, roughly 1,000 passengers per vessel.
