64102 Bayonne Cedex
The Port of Bayonne is France’s biggest wood export harbour, 2nd busiest regional port (just after Calais) and the 9th largest commercial seaport. Moreover, Bayonne is the country's only entirely ISO Veritas-certified port (quality, security and environment).
Vessels up to 180 m long and 9.5 m in draft are acceptable to call at Bayonne, where dry bulk, liquids and general cargo (incl. ro-ro, containers and break-bulk) can be handled.
Located at the mouth of the River Adour, at an equal distance between the ports of Bordeaux and Bilbao, Bayonne is situated nearby main urban and industrial areas in south-west Europe.
The Port of Bayonne functions as a major freight hotspot at the crossroads of the Spain-Toulouse-Bordeaux motorway network and is directly linked to the European rail networks Paris-Madrid as well as Bayonne-Toulouse-Marseille.
