Dry bulk handlings rose by 11.3% yoy to 5,749.2 thou. tn. Turnover of general cargo advanced as well - by 15.4% yoy to 1,674.5 thou. tn.
On the other hand, the throughput of liquids continues to decline - by 24.7% yoy to 1,883.0 thou. tn over the course of Q1 2017.
Meanwhile, a total of 134,506 passengers went through Riga's quays (+22.6% yoy), of which 132,711 came on-board ferries (+22.6% yoy), and 1,795 on cruise ships (+20.9% yoy).
